Product Summary:

Mount Tibet Tibetan Dog Chews
Tibetan Dog Chews are an all natural way to treat your best friend. They are made by local artisan farmers using centuries-old traditional methods, utensils, and tools.

The process starts with hand-milking the pasture-grazed yaks and cows. A human-powered separator skims the cream away from the milk, and then skimmed milk is used in making the chew. The milk is boiled and pasteurized, and then small amounts of lime juice and rock salt are added to initiate curdling. The curd is separated from whey in burlap sacks and squeezed underneath stone weights for 4 to 5 weeks, after which the cheese is cut and hang-dried. Finally, it is left for ageing and ripening in the Himalayan environment under direct sunlight and smoke for 3 to 4 months.

The irregularities in shape, size, and color are the inherent nature of the chew, as each of them is uniquely handcrafted. There are no preservatives, additives, or animal by-products. There are also no grains, gluten, corn, soy, or wheat.
